Session on “Ignatian Leadership

On Thursday, 5th December, the senior college teaching staff of St. Vincent College had the privilege of attending an enriching session on “Ignatian Leadership”, conducted by Fr. Jose Guibert, the Vice President of a Jesuit University in Spain. The session was held from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM in the college seminar hall.

Fr. Jose Guibert, is an esteemed Jesuit scholar and experienced academic leader, who has been traveling internationally to deliver insightful talks on leadership inspired by Ignatian values, which are the guiding principles of Jesuit education.

Four-Day AICUF Conference at Vijayawada

The 36th AICUF National Council cum Consultation was held at YESJ Loyola Academy, Vijayawada, from 6th to 9th December 2024, bringing together students and leaders to foster leadership, community engagement, and social transformation. The themes discussed were different youth issues and the power of youth in social transformation.

Interreligious dialogue on “What is the Importance Given to Nature or the Earth in My Religion? Warli Tribal Perspective,” by Mr. Vijay Ladkya Bhurkul

 St. Vincent College, Pune 37, in collaboration with Snehashadan Institute for the Study of Religion, Pune 30, organized an enlightening inter-religious talk on December 13, 2024. The session, titled “What is theImportance Given to Nature or the Earth in My Religion? Warli Tribal Perspective,” focused on exploring the deep connection between tribal beliefs and environmental stewardship.

The lecture was delivered by Mr. Vijay Ladkya Bhurkul, a representative of the Warli tribal community, who brought firsthand insights into the traditional ecological wisdom of his people. The session was held virtually, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., allowing a wide audience to participate.

Finalization of College Development App

A meeting was held on 16th of December 2024 for finalisation the adoption of the College.dev application to enhance student services and campus management. The representative from College.dev provided an overview of the application, highlighting its design as an all-in-one platform aimed at enhancing the college experience for students and streamlining administrative tasks. The app offers a user-friendly interface to simplify various aspects of campus life.

Joy of Giving” Social Outreach Program

St. Vincent College conducted its annual “Joy of Giving” social outreach program, reaffirming its commitment to fostering compassion and generosity among its students and faculty. This year, the program spanned a week, culminating on 19th December 2024, when the collected donations were distributed to the underprivileged through the Jeevdan Care Centre.

Interreligious dialogue on the topic “What is the importance given to Nature or the Earth in my Religion?” by Fr. Lumnesh Swaroop

On Thursday, 19th December 2024, an engaging online interreligious talk was held on the topic, “What is the importance given to Nature or the Earth in my Religion?” The session was conducted via Zoom from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (IST) and featured Fr. Lumnesh Swaroop Kumar, SJ, who shared insights on the topic from the viewpoint of Christianity.

Non-Denominational Special Prayer Service for Students

A Special Prayer Service was held on Friday, 20th December 2024 at 10:00 a.m. This service was open to all students, regardless of denomination, and was an opportunity to come together in prayer for personal intentions, prayer requests, and the well-being of students and their families.

Potluck Party and Fun Fair (Christmas Celebrations)

On the morning of 21st December, St. Vincent College came alive with the festive spirit as it hosted a delightful Potluck Party, followed by an exciting Fun Fair and entertaining games. The event was a joyful celebration of togetherness and camaraderie, marking the end of the year on a high note.
