Vidyarthi Din Celebration at St. Vincent College

On 7th November 2024, St. Vincent College celebrated Vidyarthi Din, commemorating Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s entry into school, a pivotal moment in the history of education and social justice in India. The celebration included a Themed Reading Day and a speech by Dr. Anil Adsule, Principal of the college, who emphasized the significance of education in shaping individuals and society.

Students and faculty engaged in a Themed Reading Day, exploring texts related to Dr. Ambedkar’s life and contributions to education. Students participated in discussions, reflecting on the role of education in overcoming social barriers and promoting equality.

100-Hour Training Program on various software tools for St. Vincent College Students

From 12th November 2024 onwards, 60 students of St. Vincent College participated in an intensive 100-hour training program focusing on Power BI, Excel, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Personality Development. The sessions were conducted by expert resource persons from TNS, a reputed organization known for delivering high-quality professional training.

Guest Lecture on Social Media and Mental Health

The guest lecture aimed to explore the relationship between social media usage and mental health among youngsters, focusing on the benefits and challenges of the digital age and offering practical strategies for maintaining a balanced and healthy mental state.

Ulhaas 2024

The event, named Ulhaas 2024 conducted on 16th November 2024, aimed to bring joy and happiness to a group of HIV-positive children from Jeevdan Care Centre. It served as an opportunity for the college community to extend love, compassion, and inclusivity to the children, creating memorable moments through performances and activities.

Interaction with Elderly People

On 23rd November 2024, St. Vincent College, in collaboration with the Jeevdan Care Centre, organized a meaningful interaction with elderly residents supported by the care center. The event aimed to foster connections between generations, offering students and faculty an opportunity to engage with and learn from the elderly while bringing joy to their lives.

Zonal Level “Aavishkar 2024” Research Competition

The Zonal Level “Aavishkar 2024” Research Competition aimed to cultivate a research-oriented mindset among students, encouraging them to explore and present innovative ideas. Hosted by St. Vincent College, the event provided a platform for participants across disciplines to showcase their academic pursuits and research outcomes.

Interreligious Dialogue “What is the Importance Given to Nature or the Earth in My Religion? Zoroastrian Perspective,” by Ervad Jamshed Karkaria

St. Vincent College, in collaboration with the Snehashadan Institute for the Study of Religion, Pune 30, organized a thought-provoking inter-religious talk on November 30, 2024. The session, titled “What is the Importance Given to Nature or the Earth in My Religion? Zoroastrian Perspective,” was delivered by Ervad Jamshed Karkaria, a respected Zoroastrian scholar.

Parents Teacher Meeting 

On 30th November 2024, St. Vincent College hosted a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) marking the end of the semester. The event served as an interactive platform for parents and faculty to discuss students’ academic progress, co-curricular involvement, and various institutional updates.
