Constitution day
St. Vincent College commemorated the Constitution Day on 26th November with a program being organized on 5th December 2023. The program included a reciting of the Preamble, reaffirming our commitment to its ideals. They College partnered with Lokayat, a group of Social Activists based in Pune to deliver a talk on the Constitution’s significance, highlighting its role in upholding justice, equality, and liberty. The event concluded with an interactive quiz testing students’ knowledge of constitutional principles. This celebration fostering awareness of India’s foundational document. faculty, Students, and staff gathered for a reading served as a reminder of the importance of upholding the Constitution and its role in shaping a vibrant democracy.
Boxing Match won by our T.Y.B.Com student
St. Vincent College is proud to announce the triumphant performance of one of our student, Aditya Jadhav at the recent district level invitation boxing competition held in memory of Late Shree Fulichand Yadav organized in Pimpri. This event was organized by Pimpri Chichwad City Boxing Association. Aditya won in the 64 kg weight class at the one-day boxing tournament that was held on Sunday 11th December at PCSF boxing club Pimpri. Aditya has also participated in many other competitions like Elite Men’s Maharashtra Championship and so on. Aditya has consistently impressed coaches and peers alike with his commitment to the sport. The College congratulates Aditya Jadhav on this well-deserved victory and looks forward to cheering him on to even greater achievements in the future.
Christmas celebrations
Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. The college was beautifully decorated and everybody was dressed in the colors of Christmas. The program was collectively put up by the student council and other class members The program started with information about Christmas and why is it celebrated. A beautiful skit followed depicting the scenes of the nativity of Jesus Christ interspersed with melodious carols sung by the FYBA choir.
Right from the conception of Mary to the birth of Jesus a harmonious story was displayed by the students. The event ended with cheerful Christmas greetings as the students danced to the melodious tunes of ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘We wish you a merry Christmas.’ The dazzling entry of Santa Claus added to the joy and excitement of the students. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the students and faculty alike. It was a joyous and amusing program for everyone
Granth Dindi by NSS
The NSS unit of ST. Vincent organized a Gyansaritha Grant Dindi under the initiative of the NSS wing of Savitribai Phule Pune University. The march began from Garware college and culminated at Fergusson college, Pune on 15th of December 2023. The Granth Dindi was a representation of dindi of Shri Tukaram Maharaj. Students and faculty from the college participated in this activity. The students also carried banners promoting the work of Sant Gadge baba, who always promoted cleanliness, education and the importance of charity towards the blind, differently able and the less privileged. Through this event, students were inspired to emulate Sant Gadge Maharaj’s compassionate spirit and contribute to societal well-being, fostering a culture of empathy and service in the college community. The principal, staff and students visited the Ashram nearby and paid tribute to Sant Gadge Maharaj.
Christmas Carols for the elderly
In the spirit of Christmas and as part of our outreach activity for the Christmas celebrations, the students of St. Vincent college performed Christmas carols for the elderly people at Prem Nivas, old age home.
